Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a score of 81.7, which is much better than the Xperia Z1's global score of 71.5. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's construction has the same thickness than the Xperia Z1, but it's a little heavier. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a newer 5.0 version while Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it counts with a couple additional features and performance tweaks.

Galaxy Note Edge features a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a bit larger display, a better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a bit higher display pixels density. Galaxy Note Edge counts with a bit more powerful processor than Sony Xperia Z1, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Galaxy Note Edge also has more RAM and a much better graphics processor working at 500 megahertz.

The Galaxy Note Edge counts with a much greater memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a SD memory slot that holds up to 128 GB and 16 GB more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Note Edge's battery duration is very similar to the Xperia Z1 one. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a superior camera than Sony Xperia Z1, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor giving a worse image quality, a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing photographs and video in low-light environments and a back camera with lot less mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a much better video resolution.

Galaxy Note Edge is a little more expensive than the Xperia Z1, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
