The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a bit better than the Xperia Z1, getting a overall score of 76.1 against 71.5. Even though Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Xperia Z1 were released only a couple months apart, Samsung Galaxy S4 is way lighter and a little thinner. These phones include the same Android 4.4.2 operating system.
The Xperia Z1 has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same RAM amount and 4 CPU cores, the Xperia Z1 also has a much better graphics co-processor. Galaxy S4 features a display that's just as good as Xperia Z1's screen, they have a screen of the same size, the same exact 1920 x 1080px resolution and a better pixels quantity in each display inch.
Samsung Galaxy S4 features a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Z1, although it has a lot tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and dull colors, a lower video definition, a way less megapixels back camera and a smaller camera aperture. The Galaxy S4 has as much memory capacity for games and applications as the Sony Xperia Z1, both of them have a SD card slot that admits up to 64 GB and the same 16 GB internal storage.
Xperia Z1 features just a bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has a 15 percent bigger battery capacity.
Even being the best phone in this comparison, Galaxy S4 is also a bargain compared to the other ones.
