LG Q8 has a score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than Sony Xperia Z1's 72.8 general score. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but LG Q8 has 7.0 Nougat version and Sony Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4, providing you a couple additional features and performance enhancements. LG Q8's design is way newer, a little bit lighter and a little thinner than the Sony Xperia Z1.
Xperia Z1 features a bit better CPU than LG Q8, because although it has 2 GB less RAM, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the Xperia Z1 also counts with a graphics processing unit. LG Q8 features a bit more vivid display than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a better pixel amount in each inch in the screen and a little bit larger screen.
The LG Q8 features a superior memory for games and applications than Xperia Z1, and although they both have the same internal storage, the LG Q8 also has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The LG Q8 features a much better camera than Xperia Z1, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor shooting worse quality videos and photos and a back-facing camera with a way lower resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low light photography and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
LG Q8's battery performance is just as good as the Xperia Z1 one.
