Motorola Moto G9 Play has a global score of 76.7, which is slightly better than Xperia Z1's score of 72.8. Even though the Motorola Moto G9 Play is way newer than the Xperia Z1, it is a little thicker and somewhat heavier. These phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola Moto G9 Play has the older 10 version while Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4 version.

The Xperia Z1 has a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Xperia Z1 has a lot better screen than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a better 1920 x 1080px resolution and a lot greater screen density.

Motorola Moto G9 Play has much more memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. Moto G9 Play counts with a superior battery lifetime than Xperia Z1, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

The Motorola Moto G9 Play features a very superior camera than Sony Xperia Z1, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has a much bigger sensor capturing way better quality videos and photos, a larger aperture and a way more MP camera in the back.
