The Motorola Moto G9 Plus is much better than Xperia Z1, getting a global score of 80.5 against 72.8. Both of these devices work with Android operating system, but Motorola Moto G9 Plus has an older 10 version while Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4. Motorola Moto G9 Plus is a newer cellphone than the Xperia Z1, but it is notably heavier and thicker.
