Galaxy Note5 is much better than the Xperia Z1, having an 80.2 score against 72.8. The Galaxy Note5 is a newer and thinner phone than Xperia Z1, although it's also just a bit heavier. Galaxy Note5's processing unit is very similar to the Xperia Z1 one, because although the Galaxy Note5 has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores.
Sony Xperia Z1 counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note5, although it has a quite smaller screen, a just a little worse number of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution. Galaxy Note5 features a superior camera than Xperia Z1, because although it has a back facing camera with a lot lower 16 mega-pixels resolution and a smaller sensor which gives a lower image and video quality, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better low light photography and videos and a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Galaxy Note5 has a slightly better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xperia Z1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory. Galaxy Note5's battery lifetime is just as good as the battery life in Xperia Z1.
