Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Edge is better than the Xperia Z1, having an 85.7 score against 72.8. The Galaxy S6 Edge design is newer, somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than the Xperia Z1. These phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 Edge has the newer 5.0 version and Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a little bit better display than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a higher display density, a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px and a little bigger screen. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features much more memory capacity to install applications and games than Xperia Z1, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory.
The Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit faster processing unit than Xperia Z1, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory, a better graphics co-processor running at 650 MHz, a 64-bits processor and a larger number of cores (but slower). Xperia Z1 counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for capturing photographs and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xperia Z1 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and pictures and a way better resolution back camera.
The Xperia Z1 counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 3000mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia Z1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Z1. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Xperia Z1, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
