Galaxy S8 has a general score of 81.7, which is better than the Xperia Z1's general score of 72.8. Galaxy S8 is a a lot newer phone, and it's also a bit lighter and a little thinner than the Xperia Z1. Galaxy S8 has just a little better processing power than Xperia Z1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores.
The Xperia Z1 features a bit better screen than Galaxy S8, although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch in the display, a bit smaller screen and a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution. Galaxy S8 counts with a much better camera than Xperia Z1, because although it has a tinier sensor providing a lower image quality and a back facing camera with way less mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture for better photos in poorly lited environments and a lot better (4K) video quality.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a lot bigger storage for applications and games than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has 32 GB more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that holds up to 256 GB. Galaxy S8's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery performance in Xperia Z1.
