Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 6 is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia Z1, getting a score of 76.5 against 72.8. The Xiaomi Mi 6 construction is newer and somewhat thinner than the Sony Xperia Z1's, but it's just a little heavier. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has just a bit better processing power than Xperia Z1, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with 4 more cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
Sony Xperia Z1 features a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 6, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the Sony Xperia Z1 also counts with a bit better pixels count in each display inch. The Xiaomi Mi 6 takes a bit better videos and photos than Xperia Z1, because although it has a way smaller back-facing camera sensor shooting much worse quality videos and photographs and a lot worse 12 mega pixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a bigger aperture to take better photos in low-light situations and a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 has a very superior memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z1, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has just a little better battery life than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a 3350mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi 6 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia Z1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Sony Xperia Z1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 6, else you can save some dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z1, giving up some features and specs.
