Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a little bit better than Sony Xperia Z1, with a general score of 76 against 72.8. Both devices in this comparison have Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Sony Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.4 version. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 body is newer and thinner than Sony Xperia Z1's, although it's just a little heavier.
Xperia Z1 features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080px, the Xperia Z1 also counts with a just a bit greater display density. Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Z1. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Xperia Z1, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
