Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone has an overall score of 77.1, which is just a bit better than Xperia Z2's general score of 72.9. Asus ROG Phone's construction is newer, but somewhat heavier and just a little thicker than Xperia Z2. The Asus ROG Phone features just a bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and more processing cores.
The Sony Xperia Z2 has just a bit better display than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a little bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per screen inch. Sony Xperia Z2 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for shooting images and videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z2 also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing better quality pictures.
Asus ROG Phone counts with a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z2, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Asus ROG Phone has longer battery life than Sony Xperia Z2, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 3200mAh.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Sony Xperia Z2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z2. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Asus ROG Phone, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z2, giving up some features and specs.
