Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 8 is just a bit better than Xperia Z2, having a 79.5 score against 72.9. The Asus ROG Phone 8 body is much newer, but a little thicker and notably heavier than the Xperia Z2. Both of these phones have Android OS, but the Asus ROG Phone 8 has older 14 version and Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4 version.
The Sony Xperia Z2 has a very superior hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has 4 less CPU cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra GPU. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has a just a bit lower quantity of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a lot bigger screen.
Asus ROG Phone 8 captures way better photos and videos than Xperia Z2, because it has a much bigger camera sensor providing a much higher image quality, a much higher 7680x4320 video quality, a back camera with much more megapixels and a larger aperture. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
Asus ROG Phone 8 features a superior battery lifetime than Xperia Z2, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity.
