Comparison review
Google Nexus 6 has a global score of 81.1, which is much better than Xperia Z2's 72.9 score. Although it's the best we are comparing here, the Google Nexus 6 design is somewhat heavier and way thicker than Xperia Z2. Both devices in our current comparison have Android operating system, but Google Nexus 6 has the newer 5.1 version while Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4, offering some nice extra features and a performance increase.
Google Nexus 6 features a display that's very similar to the Xperia Z2 one, although the Google Nexus 6 also has a larger display, a just a bit more pixels per screen inch and a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution. Google Nexus 6 features a bit faster processing unit than Xperia Z2, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core CPU, the Google Nexus 6 also has a much better graphics co-processor working at 500 MHz.
The Google Nexus 6 counts with a bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Google Nexus 6 features a battery duration that's very similar to the Xperia Z2 one, although the Google Nexus 6 also has 3220mAh of battery capacity.
The Google Nexus 6 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xperia Z2, although it has a back facing camera with lot less megapixels resolution and a lower 3840x2160 video resolution, they both have the same aperture.
Although Google Nexus 6 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xperia Z2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xperia Z2. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Xperia Z2, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
