Huawei Mate 20 has a general score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia Z2's 72.9 overall score. The Huawei Mate 20 design is much newer, but heavier and just a bit thicker than the Sony Xperia Z2. Both devices in our current comparison have Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate 20 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Sony Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4 version, so it gives you lots of additional features.

The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a very superior storage to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
Huawei Mate 20 features a little better hardware performance than Xperia Z2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores and 1 GB more RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with superior battery life than Xperia Z2, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Huawei Mate 20 shoots much better videos and photos than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has a back facing camera with a much lower 12 MP resolution and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, and they both have a same size camera sensor, the Huawei Mate 20 also counts with a bigger aperture.
Huawei Mate 20 costs a bit more than Sony Xperia Z2, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
