Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia Z2, getting a 78.7 score against 72.9. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Sony Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4. Even though Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a little heavier than Sony Xperia Z2, it's a bit thinner and also newer.
The Sony Xperia Z2 has a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a little smaller display, a just a little less pixels per inch of display and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080. Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a lot bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia Z2, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit superior processor than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM.
