Motorola Moto Z3 Play is a bit better than Xperia Z2, with a score of 76.3 against 72.9. Motorola Moto Z3 Play's construction is notably newer, thinner and a bit lighter than Xperia Z2. The Sony Xperia Z2 has a more vivid screen than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a bit lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per screen inch.
Moto Z3 Play counts with a much better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia Z2, because it has 48 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that allows up to 1,95 TB.
