Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a general score of 80.9, which is much better than the Xperia Z2's 72.9 score. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a newer 5.0 version and Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4, so it provides you a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is a noticeably lighter but a bit thicker phone than the Xperia Z2.
The Galaxy S6 Active has just a bit better screen than Xperia Z2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater pixels density and a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Xperia Z2 counts with a greater storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, although it has just 16 GB internal storage capacity.
Galaxy S6 Active has a little better performance than Xperia Z2, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy S6 Active also has more processing cores (but slower), a better GPU working at 650 MHz and a 64-bits processor. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features a bit longer battery life than Xperia Z2, because it has a 3500mAh battery size instead of 3200mAh.
Sony Xperia Z2 shoots slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z2 also counts with a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a way more MP camera in the back.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing, Galaxy S6 Active is also a bargain compared to the other ones, which makes this phone a no doubt choice.
