Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Edge is better than Xperia Z2, having a global score of 85.7 against 72.9. Galaxy S6 Edge is a newer cellphone, and it is also somewhat thinner and lighter than the Xperia Z2. Both phones in this comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 Edge has a more recent 5.0 version while Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has a little bit better screen than Xperia Z2, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a better count of pixels per inch of screen. The Galaxy S6 Edge has much more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit faster CPU than Xperia Z2, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a 64-bits processor, more cpu cores (although slower) and a much better graphics co-processor working at 650 MHz. The Xperia Z2 shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for taking photos and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xperia Z2 also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better 20.7 MP resolution and a bigger back camera sensor which provides a better photo and video quality.
The Sony Xperia Z2 features better battery life than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 23% greater battery capacity.
Galaxy S6 Edge costs a lot more money than the Sony Xperia Z2, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
