Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is much better than Sony Xperia Z2's 72.9 general score. Xperia 1 is a a little bit heavier phone than the Sony Xperia Z2, but they have the same thickness. The Xperia 1 features a slightly better looking display than Xperia Z2, because it has a much higher screen density, a larger display and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840.
Sony Xperia 1 features a little faster CPU than Sony Xperia Z2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory and a larger number of cores (and they are faster). Xperia 1 has a better camera than Xperia Z2, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking worse quality images, a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with a much lower resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos.
Xperia 1 features a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Xperia Z2, because it has more internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 512 GB. The Xperia 1 has just a bit longer battery duration than Xperia Z2, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity against 3200mAh.
The Sony Xperia 1 costs a lot more than Xperia Z2, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
