Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 has an overall score of 77.6, which is a little bit better than Xperia Z2's 72.9 score. Both devices in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Z5 has a newer 5.1 version while Xperia Z2 has Android 4.4.4, so it offers a couple additional features and better performance. The Xperia Z5 design is newer, a little thinner and a little lighter than Xperia Z2.
Xperia Z5 has a slightly better looking display than Sony Xperia Z2. Both of them have the same amount of pixels per inch of screen, the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a same size display. The Xperia Z5 counts with a way bigger storage to install games and applications than Sony Xperia Z2, because it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 200 GB and 16 GB more internal storage.
The Sony Xperia Z5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia Z2, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM and a 450 MHz graphics processing unit, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a higher number of cores (although they are slower). Xperia Z2 counts with just a bit longer battery life than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a 3200mAh battery size against 2900mAh.
The Xperia Z5 counts with a very superior camera than Sony Xperia Z2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, a same size sensor and the same video frame rate, the Xperia Z5 also has a back-facing camera with a higher 23 mega-pixels resolution and a bigger aperture for better low-light photography.
