Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a general score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than Xperia Z3's global score of 75.8. Although the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a lot newer than Xperia Z3, it is just a little thicker and just a little heavier. Xperia Z3 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy S8, because although it has a lower number of cores and less RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.

The Xperia Z3 counts with just a bit better display than Galaxy S8, although it has a way lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, a bit smaller display and way less pixels per screen inch. Xperia Z3 takes a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor and a back camera with a lot higher 20.7 mega pixels resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a way bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z3, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Xperia Z3 features a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 3100mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.

The Galaxy S8 costs a little more money than the Sony Xperia Z3, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a better phone for that extra money.
