Comparison review

Motorola Edge (2024) has a general score of 78.5, which is slightly better than the Xperia Z3's 77.3 global score. Both phones in this comparison use Android operating system, but Motorola Edge (2024) has the older 14 version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version. The Motorola Edge (2024) design is incredibly newer and just a bit thinner, but also just a little heavier than the Xperia Z3.

Sony Xperia Z3 features just a bit better looking screen than Motorola Edge (2024), because although it has a lot more opaque display, a way smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch of screen. The Motorola Edge (2024) counts with much more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z3, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 224 GB more internal memory.

The Xperia Z3 features a much faster CPU than Motorola Edge (2024), because although it has a lower number of cores and less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processor. Xperia Z3 captures just a bit better videos and photos than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has a camera in the back with a lot worse resolution, a much smaller back-facing camera sensor giving a lot worse image quality, a lower (4K) video definition and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light captures.

The Motorola Edge (2024) features a really longer battery performance than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has a 56 percent bigger battery size.

Although Motorola Edge (2024) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Sony Xperia Z3. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Sony Xperia Z3, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
