The Moto Z2 Force Edition is a a lot newer cellphone, and it's also lighter and incredibly thinner than the Xperia Z3. Sony Xperia Z3 features a much better screen than Moto Z2 Force Edition, although it has a just a bit worse display density, a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little smaller display.

Sony Xperia Z3 has just a bit better processing power than Moto Z2 Force Edition, because although it has a lower number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processing unit. Sony Xperia Z3 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same video definition and the same diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia Z3 also has a way larger sensor capturing much higher quality videos and photographs and a way higher 20.7 mega-pixels resolution camera.

The Moto Z2 Force Edition has a way bigger storage to install games and applications than Xperia Z3, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and an external memory slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Xperia Z3 has longer battery lifetime than Moto Z2 Force Edition, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity against 2730mAh.

Although Moto Z2 Force Edition is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia Z3. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xperia Z3, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your budget.
