Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia Z3, with a global score of 77.8 against 77.3. Both phones in this comparison come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has the older 4.4.2 version while Sony Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is a just a bit lighter device than the Sony Xperia Z3, but both of them have the same thickness.

The Xperia Z3 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy S5 Sport, because although it has a little less pixels per inch of display, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a bit bigger display. Sony Xperia Z3 has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have a 450 megahertz GPU and a Quad-Core processor, the Sony Xperia Z3 also has 1 GB more RAM memory.

Xperia Z3 has a superior memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB, the Xperia Z3 also has 32 GB internal memory. Xperia Z3 takes a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia Z3 also has a bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a camera in the back with lot more MP and a larger aperture to capture better images and videos in poorly lited environments.

The Sony Xperia Z3 features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a 3200mAh battery size instead of 2800mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xperia Z3, letting go some specs and features.
