Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is much better than Sony Xperia Z3's 77.3 score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Sony Xperia Z3 were released only 7 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is somewhat thinner and incredibly lighter. These phones include Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has newer 5.0 version while Sony Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4, so it gives you lots of additional features and better performance.
The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with just a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia Z3, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a faster 650 MHz graphics co-processor, a 64-bits processing unit and a greater number of cores. Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit better looking screen than Xperia Z3, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixel amount in each inch of display and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Sony Xperia Z3 features a way better camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia Z3 also counts with a much higher 20.7 megapixels resolution back camera and a bigger sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures.
Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a way bigger memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z3, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Xperia Z3 features superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Z3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Xperia Z3, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
