Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a general score of 78.1, which is slightly better than Xperia Z3's general score of 77.3. These phones use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4, so it counts with some extra features and performance optimizations. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a newer cellphone, and it's also somewhat thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Xperia Z3.

Sony Xperia Z3 features a much better display than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, a just a bit inferior count of pixels per inch of screen and a bit smaller display. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a bit more memory capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia Z3, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge also has an external memory card slot that admits up to 200 GB.

The Sony Xperia Z3 has a little better performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have 4 cores, the Sony Xperia Z3 also counts with an extra GPU. Galaxy S7 edge has a bit superior battery duration than Xperia Z3, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity. The Sony Xperia Z3 features just a bit better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Z3 also counts with a lot higher resolution back camera and a bigger back camera sensor taking better quality pictures and videos.

Although Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Z3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy S7 edge, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xperia Z3, resigning a couple specs and features.
