Comparison review
Xperia Z5 is a little bit better than Xperia Z3, with a score of 77.6 against 77.3. Xperia Z5 is a newer phone, and it is also somewhat thinner and just a little lighter than the Xperia Z3. These devices come with Android operating system, but Xperia Z5 has a more recent 5.1 version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version, providing the user some additional features.
Xperia Z3 has a bit sharper screen than Xperia Z5. They have the same screen density, the same exact 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a same size screen. Sony Xperia Z5 features a little bit better memory for apps and games than Xperia Z3, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 200 GB.
The Sony Xperia Z3 features a little faster processor than Xperia Z5, although it has less cores , they both have a 450 MHz GPU and a 3 GB RAM memory. Sony Xperia Z3 features a bit longer battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has a 10 percent greater battery size. Xperia Z5 features just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Z3, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a same size sensor and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia Z5 also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better photography and video in low light situations and a back camera with a higher resolution.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z5, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xperia Z3, giving up a couple features and specifications.
