Comparison review

Motorola Moto Z3 Play has an overall score of 76.3, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia Z3+'s 73.7 score. The Motorola Moto Z3 Play construction has the same thickness than Sony Xperia Z3+, but it is just a bit heavier. The Xperia Z3+ counts with a better looking screen than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixels density.

Moto Z3 Play counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia Z3+, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a higher number of cores (although slower). The Xperia Z3+ shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for capturing images and videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xperia Z3+ also counts with a larger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.

Moto Z3 Play features a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xperia Z3+, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal memory. The Moto Z3 Play features a bit longer battery performance than Xperia Z3+, because it has a 3000mAh battery size instead of 2930mAh.

Although Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z3+, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z3+. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Xperia Z3+, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
