Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is much better than the Sony Xperia Z3+'s overall score of 73.7. Galaxy Note8's design is a lot newer, but way heavier and thicker than the Sony Xperia Z3+. These devices come with Android OS, but Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Sony Xperia Z3+ has Android 5.0 version.

The Xperia Z3+ has a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note8, although it has a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quite lower number of pixels per inch in the screen and a little smaller display. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a more powerful CPU than Xperia Z3+, because it has a higher number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.

Xperia Z3+ counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting photographs and videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia Z3+ also counts with a larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a camera with a lot better 20.7 megapixels resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 features much more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z3+, because it has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB and 32 GB more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Note8 features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z3+, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity instead of 2930mAh.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z3+, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z3+. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Note8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia Z3+, letting go some specifications.
