The Galaxy S5 Plus is just a bit better than Xperia Z3+, getting a overall score of 78.1 against 73.7. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S5 Plus has 4.4.2 version and Xperia Z3+ has Android 5.0 version. Galaxy S5 Plus is an older, just a little bit heavier and thicker cellphone than Xperia Z3+.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a quite better performance than Xperia Z3+, because although it has less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processor and a larger number of cores. The Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit sharper display than Sony Xperia Z3+, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a bit more pixels per screen inch.

The Sony Xperia Z3+ features a superior storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 128 GB, the Sony Xperia Z3+ also has 16 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xperia Z3+ counts with just a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 2930mAh of battery capacity.

Sony Xperia Z3+ takes a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia Z3+ also has a lot higher 20.7 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, a bigger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a larger aperture for better images and videos in poorly lited environments.

Although Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Sony Xperia Z3+, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z3+. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z3+, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
