Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is way better than the Xperia Z3+, with a 93.3 score against 73.7. These phones have Android operating system, but Xperia 1 III has 11 version while Xperia Z3+ has Android 5.0 version, providing lots of additional features and optimized performance. Xperia 1 III's design is much newer than Xperia Z3+'s, although it's extremely heavier and somewhat thicker.
Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a more powerful processor than Xperia Z3+, because it has more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM. The Sony Xperia 1 III has just a bit better display than Sony Xperia Z3+, because it has a bigger display, a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a lot better screen pixels density.
The Xperia 1 III has a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Z3+, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video quality and a much worse resolution camera, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low light captures and video and a much bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Xperia 1 III has a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z3+, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1 TB. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a much better battery performance than Xperia Z3+, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 2930mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Z3+, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia Z3+. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z3+, resigning some features and specifications.
