The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a score of 79.5, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's 75.1 overall score. Asus ROG Phone 8 is a a lot heavier cellphone than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, but both are equally thin. These devices have Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus ROG Phone 8 has the newer 14 version and Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has Android 5.1, giving you some nice extra features and some performance improvements.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a brighter display than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a much better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a just a little more pixels per inch of screen and a much larger display. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
The Xperia Z5 Compact counts with a much powerful processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 8 cores, the Xperia Z5 Compact also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a better camera than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low-light photos, it also counts with a much more megapixels camera, a much higher video definition and a way larger sensor providing a lot better image quality.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a very superior battery performance than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity.
