Comparison review
The Huawei P20 Pro has a global score of 81.4, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's 75.1 general score. The Huawei P20 Pro construction is much newer and thinner than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's, although it's also notably heavier. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Huawei P20 Pro has a more recent 10 version and Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has Android 5.1, so it counts with a couple additional features and optimized performance.
The Xperia Z5 Compact counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P20 Pro, although it has a little bit lower pixel density, a way lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a lot smaller display. Huawei P20 Pro has a processor that is just as good as Xperia Z5 Compact's processor, because although the Huawei P20 Pro has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
Huawei P20 Pro has a bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Huawei P20 Pro captures clearer videos and photos than Xperia Z5 Compact, and although they both have the same aperture, the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a way larger camera sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photographs and a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
Huawei P20 Pro counts with a much better battery life than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.
Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Huawei P20 Pro is also a bargain compared to others.
