Comparison review
LG G5 is slightly better than Xperia Z5 Compact, with a general score of 76.1 against 75.1. These phones work with Android operating system, but the LG G5 has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Xperia Z5 Compact has Android 5.1 version, giving you some nice extra features. Although LG G5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact were released with only 7 months difference, the LG G5 design is somewhat heavier but also somewhat thinner than the Xperia Z5 Compact.
The Xperia Z5 Compact has a little faster CPU than LG G5, because although it has 2 GB less RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU and 4 more cores. LG G5 counts with a little sharper display than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a much higher pixel density, a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a larger screen.
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact captures a little bit better photos and videos than LG G5, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, a F1.8 aperture and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact also has a bigger camera sensor and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera. The LG G5 has a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, and although they both have the same internal storage, the LG G5 also has an external memory card slot that allows up to 1,95 TB.
The LG G5 counts with just a bit longer battery life than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.
Although LG G5 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Xperia Z5 Compact, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Z5 Compact. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the LG G5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia Z5 Compact, letting go a couple specifications.
