LG V30S ThinQ has a general score of 82.5, which is a bit better than the Xperia Z5 Compact's general score of 75.1. The LG V30S ThinQ design is a lot newer and thinner than the Xperia Z5 Compact's, but it's somewhat heavier. Xperia Z5 Compact counts with just a bit better camera than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for taking images and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 Compact also counts with a back facing camera with a way higher 23 mega-pixels resolution and a way larger camera sensor which offers a way higher image and video quality.
Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the LG V30S ThinQ, otherwise you can save some money and get the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, giving up some features and specifications.
