Xperia 5 III has a global score of 90.5, which is way better than Xperia Z5 Compact's 75.1 general score. Both devices in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia 5 III has a newer 11 version and Xperia Z5 Compact has Android 5.1, providing you a couple additional features. Xperia 5 III's construction is noticeably newer and just a bit thinner than Xperia Z5 Compact's, but it's heavier.
Xperia 5 III has a display that's just as good as the display in Xperia Z5 Compact, although the Xperia 5 III also has a much larger display, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a higher screen pixel density. The Xperia 5 III has much more storage capacity for apps and games than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 224 GB more internal storage.
Xperia 5 III counts with a bit superior processor than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 5 III also counts with a larger amount of RAM. Xperia 5 III shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has a worse (4K) video definition and a much less mega pixels camera in the back, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture and a lot bigger sensor shooting much higher quality photos and videos.
The Xperia 5 III has a very superior battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a 67 percent greater battery capacity.
