Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a bit better than the Xperia Z5 Compact, getting an 82.2 score against 75.1. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer cellphone than the Xperia Z5 Compact, although it's a lot thicker and much heavier. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much more vibrant screen than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a way greater pixels quantity per inch in the screen, a larger screen and a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has an external memory card slot that holds up to 400 GB and more internal memory capacity. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit better processing power than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with more RAM memory.
The Xperia Z5 Compact takes just a bit better videos and photos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same (4K) video resolution and a 0.43 inches sensor, the Xperia Z5 Compact also has a higher 23 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features longer battery life than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, resigning a couple features and specifications.
