Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 7 has an overall score of 81.2, which is a bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium's global score of 79.8. Asus ROG Phone 7's body is much newer than Xperia Z5 Premium's, but it's thicker and extremely heavier. These devices have Android OS, but the Asus ROG Phone 7 has the newer 13 version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1 version, so it provides a couple additional features.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a lot better looking display than Asus ROG Phone 7, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher pixels number per inch in the display and a higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a much better performing processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 7, because although it has 13 GB lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
Asus ROG Phone 7 has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory. The Asus ROG Phone 7 has a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a way bigger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality photos and videos, a lot higher resolution back facing camera and a way better 7680x4320 video resolution.
