Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Huawei P40 Lite's general score of 79.5. Both of these devices have Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version while Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium design is just a little thinner and a bit lighter than Huawei P40 Lite, although it was released many years before.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much sharper screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater quantity of pixels per inch of screen and a way higher 3840 x 2160 resolution. The Xperia Z5 Premium has just a little better processing power than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics processor.
The Huawei P40 Lite features a greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Huawei P40 Lite shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the same video frame rate and a F1.8 aperture, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a camera with a much better resolution and a bigger back-facing camera sensor which offers a higher image and video quality.
The Huawei P40 Lite counts with better battery duration than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 22 percent larger battery size.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40 Lite. If you want to save some money, you can get the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
