The LG V30S ThinQ has an overall score of 82.5, which is a little bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium's general score of 79.8. These phones come with Android OS (operating system), but LG V30S ThinQ has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1, so it provides a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance. LG V30S ThinQ's design is way newer, lighter and a bit thinner than the Xperia Z5 Premium.
The LG V30S ThinQ features a little better processing power than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the LG V30S ThinQ also counts with 3 GB more RAM. Xperia Z5 Premium features a much sharper screen than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a higher pixel density.
The LG V30S ThinQ counts with a much greater storage for applications and games than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal storage. The Xperia Z5 Premium features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than LG V30S ThinQ, because it has a 4 percent more battery capacity.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with just a bit better camera than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing photos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a way larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality.
Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy LG V30S ThinQ, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, letting go some features and specifications.
