Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a little bit better than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, having a 79.8 score against 77.4. Even being the best we compare here, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is an older, somewhat heavier and noticeably thicker device than Motorola Moto Z2 Play. Xperia Z5 Premium features a bit better processing power than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics processor.

The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much more vibrant screen than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a lot higher 3840 x 2160 resolution and a much greater count of pixels per inch in the display. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better camera than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low-light photography and video, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a back-facing camera with a much higher 23 megapixels resolution.

The Moto Z2 Play features a much better storage for apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a little better battery duration than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 3430mAh battery size.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto Z2 Play. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, letting go a couple features and specs.
