The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is slightly better than Galaxy Alpha's global score of 76.3. These devices include Android operating system, but Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has newer 5.1 version and Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4, providing a lot of extra features. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium design is incredibly heavier and somewhat thicker than Galaxy Alpha.
The Galaxy Alpha's processor is just as good as the processing unit in Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and although the Galaxy Alpha has 1 GB less RAM and 4 lesser processing cores , they both have a 450 megahertz graphics processor. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a larger screen, a much better resolution of 3840 x 2160px and way more pixels per display inch.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium takes much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a larger diafragm aperture and a way more mega pixels camera. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 200 GB.
The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a really longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Alpha. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Galaxy Alpha, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
