Xperia Z5 Premium is a bit better than Galaxy J8, with a score of 79.8 against 76.7. The Xperia Z5 Premium construction is just a little thinner than Galaxy J8, although it's just a little bit heavier and was released 3 years before. These phones use Android operating system, but the Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version and Galaxy J8 has Android 10.

Xperia Z5 Premium has a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot higher 3840 x 2160 resolution. The Galaxy J8 has a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 256 GB.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy J8's battery life is just as good as the battery life in Xperia Z5 Premium, although the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium captures better videos and photos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low light images and video, it also counts with a much more megapixels back facing camera, a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality and a lot higher (4K) video definition.
