Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's general score of 79.8. Even when Galaxy S6 Edge and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium were released with only a few months difference, Galaxy S6 Edge is just a little thinner and lighter. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S6 Edge has older 5.0 version and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1.
Galaxy S6 Edge has a little better processing power than Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a better GPU working at 650 MHz and a 64-bit processor. The Xperia Z5 Premium has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a better pixels quantity per screen inch, a way higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a bit bigger display.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a very superior camera than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a larger back camera sensor, a camera with a lot better resolution and a bigger aperture. Galaxy S6 Edge has more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with better battery life than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 3430mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy S6 Edge, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, giving up a couple specifications.
