Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 global score. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is an older device than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, but it's just a little bit lighter and incredibly thinner anyway. Xperia Z5 Premium features a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because it has a much better 3840 x 2160 resolution, a better amount of pixels per inch of display and a little bigger screen.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to Xperia Z5 Premium's one, they have a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 200 GB and the same 32 GB internal storage. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little bit better performance than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a GPU and more processing cores (but slower).
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active features just a bit longer battery life than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 17 percent greater battery capacity. The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a superior camera than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a way better resolution camera.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S7 Active. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia Z5 Premium, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy S7 Active, resigning a couple features and specifications.
