Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an overall score of 94.6, which is better than Xperia Z5 Premium's global score of 79.8. These devices use Android OS, but Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a more recent 11 version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 body is newer and thinner, but also heavier than Xperia Z5 Premium.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher count of pixels per screen inch and a way higher resolution of 3840 x 2160px. Galaxy Z Fold 2 has just a bit better performance than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage. Xperia Z5 Premium shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a way smaller back camera sensor taking less light and washed colors and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same aperture, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a back camera with much more megapixels.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has superior battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 31% bigger battery size.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
