Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 score. The Xperia Z5 Premium body is somewhat lighter than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, although it's just a little bit thicker and was released a bit more over a year before. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 3840 x 2160 resolution and a lot more pixels per screen inch.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a very superior storage to install games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has an external SD slot that admits 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a bigger camera aperture for better images and video in low-light environments, a back camera with a way better resolution and a much larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much higher image quality.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a much better battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Max 2, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
