Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has an overall score of 81.2, which is just a bit better than Xperia Z5 Premium's 79.8 score. Even though the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is just a bit heavier than Xperia Z5 Premium, it's a little bit thinner and also noticeably newer. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a much better screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution and a lot more pixels per inch of display.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a bit better processor than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also counts with a larger amount of RAM. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a superior camera than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a back-facing camera with a way better resolution, a bigger aperture for better low-light photos and video and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting way better quality videos and photographs.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a 1% larger battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia Z5 Premium, letting go a couple features and specifications.
