The Apple iPhone 6 Plus is just a bit better than Xperia Z5, having a overall score of 80.4 against 77.6. Apple iPhone 6 Plus works with iOS 8.x operating system, while Xperia Z5 counts with Android 5.1 operating system. Despite of the fact the Apple iPhone 6 Plus is older and heavier than the Xperia Z5, it's body is still a little thinner.
The Apple iPhone 6 Plus counts with a bit better looking display than Xperia Z5, because although it has a little worse number of pixels per display inch, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Apple iPhone 6 Plus also counts with a little bit larger display. Xperia Z5 counts with a little bit better processing power than iPhone 6 Plus, because although it has a 32 bits processing unit instead of 64-bits, and they both have a 450 MHz graphics co-processor, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a larger number of cores and more RAM.
Sony Xperia Z5 shoots much better photographs and videos than iPhone 6 Plus, because it has a lot larger camera sensor which offers a much higher photo and video quality, a larger aperture to take better low light captures and video, a camera with lot more MP and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Apple iPhone 6 Plus has a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z5, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. IPhone 6 Plus's battery life is very similar to the Sony Xperia Z5 one, although the iPhone 6 Plus also has a 1 percent bigger battery size.
Although iPhone 6 Plus is a better device, it costs more money than the Sony Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Sony Xperia Z5. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Sony Xperia Z5, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
