Comparison review
The iPhone 8 Plus is much better than the Xperia Z5, with a score of 87.1 against 77.6. Even though the iPhone 8 Plus is newer than Xperia Z5, it is just a little bit thicker and noticeably heavier. Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor and an inferior number of cores , and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
Xperia Z5 features a bit more vivid display than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen. Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a much better storage for games and applications than Xperia Z5, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 224 GB more internal storage.
Sony Xperia Z5 features a bit better battery performance than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 2900mAh of battery capacity instead of 2691mAh. The Xperia Z5 takes a bit better photos and videos than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a F1.8 aperture, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a lot more mega pixels back-facing camera and a way larger sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy iPhone 8 Plus, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xperia Z5, resigning some specs and features.
